Judge4Yourself.com Rates the Judicial Candidates So Justice Is Not a
Guessing Game

When you reach the judicial elections on the ballot, do you just skip them? Do you try to guess who to vote for, based on which names are familiar?

With 59 county judgeships and 28 municipal judgeships in Cuyahoga County, it’s no wonder that voters don’t know how to pick the best candidates when they vote.

Judge4Yourself.com is the answer to the judicial guessing game. We have easy to understand ratings for all the candidates running in every judicial election in Cuyahoga County, plus short biographies of each candidate and a description of the work of the courts where they want to serve.

Judge4Yourself.com’s ratings are made by four cooperating bar associations, with the help of dozens of experienced lawyers—many who work in the courts every day. We interview the candidates, and review their answers to our questionnaire. We look at examples of the candidates’ writing, and get the input of lawyers who know their work.

Judge4Yourself.com’s ratings are non-partisan, and independent . When we do the ratings, we don’t care if the candidate is a Democrat or Republican or whether the candidate’s cousin was a good or bad judge. We care only whether the particular candidates who are running this year will be competent, fair and trustworthy judges. So we focus on each candidate’s integrity, knowledge, experience, diligence, and community understanding, and on every candidate’s ability to be impartial, even-tempered and respectful to the people who must come to court.

Guessing can’t assure justice.
